PASTOR’S NOTE

Hey Church Family,

Pastor Caleb here, filling in again for Chris as he’s on vacation. As we have been walking through the book of Luke, the theme of stewardship has been front and center the last few weeks. We have consistently been challenged to fully surrender every part of our life to God’s plan instead of our own.

On Sunday Pastor Cameron gave a very specific challenge during commissioning, that we need scholarships for camp. By Monday afternoon every single child, student, and preteen who still needed scholarship money was fully covered. I said it on Sunday and I’ll say it again here. Thank you for being a church who cares about every age and stage of life. Thank you for answering the call, and being obedient to the Holy Spirit.

God has already used CrossTimbers, Shiloh Kids camp, Super Summer, and VBS to deepen relationships and help introduce kids to following Jesus for the first time. The gospel has been shared with church and non churched people alike. With Falls Creek a couple of weeks away, we will get to do this all one more time and then watch the benefits of these gospel moments push us into the fall.

So one more time, thank you for being faithful, involved and obedient. Thank you for sending everyone to camp who wanted and needed to go. If you want more details about the way God moved this summer please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself, Brandon, or anyone else on staff.

FALLS CREEK KITCHEN HELP | JULY 19-25

We need a few more amazing volunteers to help in the kitchen while we are at Falls Creek.

If you are willing to put your “YES” on the table and serve our students at camp, please contact Brandon or another member of staff.

MDWK at CHBC is taking a BREAK for the SUMMER!

Our normal midweek activities are taking a break for June and July to allow room for summer camps, VBS, and all the activities we engage with throughout the summer.

SUNDAY NIGHT PROPHECY STUDY | JULY 19

Our next Sunday Night Prophecy Study with Johnny Just will be on Sunday, July 19th with special guest speaker, Lee Brainard.

We will have Fellowship time from 5:30-6:00 pm and Teaching time (Ezekiel) from 6:00-7:00pm. This group meets every 3rd Sunday of the month in Room 152/154 (behind the worship center).
